When I was a kid, Earl Shieb was a national chain that would paint any car for $29.95. Yes, it was a cheap paint job that didnt last too long but looked good for a while. I changed the motor in my Oliver 88 and was going to take it to Old Threshers at Mt Pleasant . I started to touch up the paint, but ended up spraying the whole tractor, thus an Earl Shieb paint job. Looks best at 30 , if you get closer it doesnt look as good!

The side panels are off of a 770 that I parted out and I never did have side panels for it, so I figured I'd put them on her and see how it looks. I need decals yet, haven't decided what to put on the spears yet.

When Earl fails, there's Miracle Auto.

Super99. I got to tell you- that tractor is a good looking machine. Please explain to me sir why is your US flag flying upside down in pic #3. I thought and I could be wrong but thought it meant a sign of distress. Is that correct? Please advise. Wingnut

I like it. Those louvered panels never did anything for me.

Looks great to me, I'd be proud to drive it in a parade. Earl Shieb story: back in the late sixty's, I worked part time at a one man body shop about 20 miles east of St Louis. Customers would come in wanting a paint job and invariably bring up the Earl Shieb 29.99 paint job hoping to get the owner to lower his price. He would tell them to not drive too fast on the way home, as the paint might start peeling off on their way back. From what I was told the paint peeling actually happened.

A 30 30 paint job is
30 feet or 30 mile per hour.
I remember hearing Earl's ad on the radio.

It's an international sign of distress. Don't fly it at half staff. Mine is upside down to and not one neighbor has said a word!

In the Houston area he had commercials on TV besides bilboard ads. I loved his (snaggle toothed) TV commercials. Like stated, one could only guess what you got for that price. As I recall, normal single color paint jobs were running around $80 at other places.
