Front loader problem

I have a Bush Hog model 2425 QT front end loader with a joy stick control. The joy stick control will raise the loader, lower the loader, and curl the bucket as it should. The problem comes when you dump the bucket. The control will dump the bucket but it is very, very slow and sometimes will not completely dump the bucket. What areas should I be looking at?

As always Thanks to all for your ideas, suggestions, and solutions.

Is your fluid reservoir full? Does the pump make funny noises when the controls malfunction? When was the hydraulic filter changed last? The pickup screen in the reservoir cleaned lately?

Does the dump function work better if the bucket is nearly on the ground? If so you are likely low on fluid, since your lift cylinders are taking some of the fluid out of the reservoir when its fully up.

Not cable operated, fluid level full, recent filter change, slow dump at any level. Have not had this problem before.
Many thanks for all replies.

Couplings can fail and have restricted flow one way and not the other. Hoses can have internal failures that act like heart valves. they are able to flow one direction and restrict flow in the other, as a flap of rubber extends across and blocks flow. I would lower it and remove all pressure and curl force, then swap the curl cylinder hoses end for end. If it now operates slow curl rapid dump, it is probably one or the other hose. good luck.
