24 ft Featherlite trailer

Amont things my brother left me, was his featherlite 24 ft stock trailer. It is in excellent condition, with no cracked welds. It also has new tires. He always washed it out after he hauled cattle. I am trying to find a reasonable selling price. New ones are kind of pricy. Anyone have an idea what it might sell for? Thanks, Stan

I sold my 24 ft Featherlite at my auction a couple years ago. It was only 2 years old and like new condition. It brought $500 more than I gave for it new. Shoulda bought 2 instead of just one. (-;

I bought this one new in 2019. I was talking to the lady from the dealer I bought it from in January. She said I picked an excellent time to buy it. She couldn't at that time get any more and the last one she could get was much more expensive. She said I could easily sell that one and make a nice profit.

Everyone's bragged about how they sold theirs for more than new, but nobody has given a number yet.

I personally haven't sold one. All the ads say "$CALL" and since I'm not in the market for one I'm not letting a salesman get their hooks into me just to get you a number.

That give me a thought... Trailer dealers are HUNGRY for something to sell right now. Maybe give the dealer that sold your brother the trailer a call, (or any trailer dealer) and have them shoot you an offer? If you don't like it, you'll have no problem running them off.

Yep, there are a lot more details that would be needed in order to estimate what it could be worth. And pictures would certainly help as well.

My 2 year old unit sold in February of 2020 for $18,250 which was $500 more than I paid for it in 2018. It was discounted a little when I bought it for a few hail dings in the roof that were barely visible. 2 divider gates with sliders. 2 years of fairly light use and no damage. Is that better? My point was that if it is like new condition, you could ask for something near new price, which is different today than it was 2 and a half years ago.

Gooseneck, bumper hitch, steel, aluminum, axle rating, tire condition, location .................. ?????????????? Need much more info to arrive at a price.

Priced at half of a new one, it would sell in the first 5 minutes. Unless it's beat and ragged, it won't be too far off new price for someone that doesn't want to wait on new inventory. Even before inventory problems, aluminum trailers held value very well.

Around here, good used aluminum stock trailers will sell for a premium and are in high demand because they can't make them fast enough. They are correct about them being worth more than when bought new, if bought a few years ago. If your trailer is less than 12-15 years old and in good shape it is in that category.
