Decided to strip down yellow project #4 301 gasser. The process revealed some surprises. JB weld maybe?

What's the part in the photo? Repairing tin doesn't look like a JB Weld job to me. Maybe fibreglas mat with resin repair?

It is the bottom of the fuel tank and nose cone. The float of the fuel gauge can be seen in the hole. The engine is a mess as well.

You should have left that machine for the next unsuspecting character! ;>) I hope they gave that thing to you or paid you to take it! Hopefully you know of a salvage yard with a couple of parts machines. Have fun!

I bought it for the loader for yellow project #3 a 300B junker. My nephew thinks he want a gas tractor so I am going to find out if I can bring yellow project #4 back as well. Yellow project #2 a tree flatten father & son project may become a parts donor for yellow project #4.

Either a lot of welding or a new tank. I'd go with the new tank.
