White tractor cabs.

The early ones were not too good, but later they got pretty good. I don't know the hear of the change.

The pod cabs found on the 2-105 and newer tractors yes. Just as quiet, I believe the decibel level actually tested a touch quieter. Easier to get in and out of and a lot better visibility especially looking back to the drawbar, and a lot more room inside. Been in a 4955, 4455, 4960, 4240, and 4450, Ill take a white cab over them any day. Of course Im also one of the few guys that will take an IH 86 series cab over a sound guard any day as well.

The earlier ones that sat down over a cowl that was part of the tractor were 3db louder than the SGB I believe, but the Series 3 cabs that came out in 82 were 2db quieter than the SGB if memory serves me right. They were the isolated pod cab with the dash as a part of the cab instead of the tractor. I had a 4040 with SGB, nice cab, but I do believe my White 2-135 Series 3 is quieter. When I get out of my 79 2-105 and in the 2-135, I really notice the difference.

Personal observation...I have a 1982 series 3 White 2-88 and cab is quieter, roomier, has better all around visibility and is easier to get in and out of than my 1983 Deere SGB 4250.The older 1 and 2 series Whites like the 2-105 didn't have a fully isolated cab like the later 3 series so we're not as quiet.Having said that kinda tough to beat that 466 turbo and 15 speed powershift in the Deere.

You can check the decibel rating for each cab on the Nebraska Tractor tests. They do not however rate cab comfort....
