Is anyone going? Its in Iowa so I will not be going but I do have a 5 buck of admission coupon if anyone wants it. Back in highschool the show was held only 20 north of me so I skipped school and went for 2 days.
 
Speaking of can't afford or need, I heard there will be a 24 row, 30 spacing (60 foot) corn head displayed. Don't know if it will be demonstrated. My thought is, if you have to drive slower what does that gain? And besides think of the extra weight.
 
I heard a tire representative say there is not a combine big enough to run it(yet)

There are combines on the market with over 700 HP. In some of the areas that grow lesser yielding corn, they can handle a header that size.


Or maybe tires manufactured that can carry it as well.

Only a few places flat enough to run it without going over corn on one side and digging dirt on the other. We had that problem with 30 foot heads cutting wheat on some of the ground they planted wheat on in MT. Short wheat and the slope would lean the combine enough one side was over the wheat and other was on the ground. Worse if the bin was half full. Sure you can run 120 foot sprayer booms but they are not on the ground like a head is.
