1956 Ford 600 Model 650 is not a Workmaster

I want to get it confirmed that the Workmaster did not come out until 1957 and Ford only made the 601 Workmaster and not a 600 Workmaster. My 660 has no gas guage so it can not be a 601 even if someone did stick a 601 decal on it. Am I correct in what I am thinking?

Hmmm I never realized that According to
Tractordata.com you are right The 6X0 is called the 600
Series, and the 6X1 is called the 601 Workmaster Series.

Correct, you have a 660 which were model
years 58 - 57. The 601 series production
started in 1957 and the model year range
was 58 - 62. Your Workmaster/601 decal is
incorrect, Workmaster designation and
decaling started with the 601 series.
Also the front emblem with 600 on it is
correct for a 600-series. The 601-series
emblem did not have a number on it.

(quoted from post at 09:00:28 08/08/22) Oops, 600 series model year 55-57, typo.

Well now at least I know what I have now. I even think the last owner painted the tractor to be a workmaster because the top cover is red. The 600 series tractors appear to be painted like the red belly 8n tractors.
