Working on a Ferguson TED20 witch has stood in an open shed for over 30 years and is very UK rusty. Got to take the steering wheel off so I took the nut of with great difficulty and saw the top of the taper shaft did no quite come to the top thats when I rememberd Olds remeday of ATF fluid and I poured some down the top of the shaft. 30 munites later I tapped the steering wheel straight off. Thanks Old MJ.

Yep it WORKS you cant beat some of these old fashion home brew remedies lol I first recall like 60 years ago my farmer uncle and grandpa using such things as brake fluid or diesel and later ATF to free up rusted parts. I use whatever is laying around and handy such as a mix of some diesel ATF and brake fluid WORKS GREAT

ATF alone is good and atf plus acetone even better. I have a gallon jug labeled cylinder soakinto which I pour atf, diesel, acetone and contents of spray lub cans I get free from friends because they lost pressure. I know how to re-pressurize cans but I get more than I need to spray. From gallon jug I fill quart bottles with spouts. I hope Old doesn't sue for patent infringement.

As noted before Ive used Diesel plus Brake Fluid plus ATF or whatever is handy lol. Such types of home brews have been around before myself or Old was born and still work yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
