I saw that picture and for some reason the song,Who's Gonna Feed Them Hogs? popped into my head.I don't know whay,because the song sings about 400 hogs,not a couple.I hadn't heard it in a couple of years either.

Great picture! The ol' man is "sloppin' the hogs" but I bet if this wasn't a "photo op", them boys in the background would be doing it like my brother and I did when we were kids.
Seems strange to have the calves penned in with the hogs.

thinking they are free people in a time when freedom was appreciated and paid for with your labour for your
own benefit, subsistence and survival.
