Loader controls

My dad inherited this David Brown and has trouble with the loader controls. He does not want to try and fix it, but wants new controls. I told him short of the mounting brackets we should be able to adapt just about any control system. Am I wrong? He feels he needs original controls.

You have to have at least 5 posts before you can post pictures or you can ask the site administrator for permission.

How large are the pictures? Some pictures taken with need to be reduced before they will load, or only post one at a time. The limit in size is about 7-7.5 MB total per post.

Short of being able to load your pics, What is the tractor model and year? And are the controls a separate brand? Does the loader have a float position, and is there a return-to-tank hose off the control (an open center system)? That'll help us help you. steve

If you'd write a little bit more about your problems, including the picture upload, maybe someone could help.

"Problems with the loader controls," could mean anything. The problem may not have anything to do with the levers used to move the loader.

If the current loader controls are a simple 2-spool open center valve bank, that's what you'll need to replace it. It can be a different make/model. It can even be a joystick. It just needs to be the right type to work properly. Odds are you will not be able to find the "original."
