Still trying to start my case 455c

My starter was giving one loud click. Was going to rebuild it but couldnt get the right sized contacts. Ordered brand new starter from this site. Installed new one and same click. Changed the battery cable ends. Battery reads 12.26 v across the posts. At the starter its reading 12.25 v If I jump the contacts starter will spin. If I hit the starter button and jump the starter contacts it will crank weak once. Battery on the charger now. New starter solenoid must be bad too?

How old is the battery?

Do u have another known to be good battery, maybe from your truck or car or a tractor that you can install?I

12.25 will not crank an engine. If you read the battery voltage while cranking I bet it is down in the 4 volt rangs (maybe less) If charging does not bring the battery back to 12.6+ volts after it is off the charger for 2 or 3 hours, it is toast. Jim

How many battery cable ends did you replace?
