Fork lift runs! 4 cylinder gas......

When we drive by a place where someone has a lot of interesting stuff around so that you would just like to stop and look, I comment to my wife that a few months after she is gone our place will look like that. She will respond that she has promises from both of our kids that they won't let me.

They both look very handy. I'm sure a forklift would make it easier to work on tractors, and a box truck would always be useful if you can get it running. I've had an old mini bus the last few months while putting up buildings and getting ready to move. I'll miss it when I sell it after the move, but I don't have a lot of space in the new yard and won't need it often enough to make sense to keep it insured after the move.

(quoted from post at 18:10:53 07/22/22) Set that truck box on the ground and you can get two or three Cubs in it. They make great storage.

You'd be hard pressed to build a shed that size for $800.

If you were closer I would say buy the truck keep the box and I would take the truck for a wagon. Those old trucks make good wagons and never a spindle or axle problem. Might have to change king pins in them once.

My wife used to point out "His" side of the yard - tractors, trucks, plows, junk etc. And "Her" side of the yard - gardens, flowers, carts, statues, etc.

Biggest problem with the forklift that I see is those narrow, soild tires would not work well off the paved areas. We had one like that at the mining company where I worked and it could not navigate anywhere off the paved areas with out sinking up to the axles.

Don't buy the forklift unless your yard is all pavement. I bought one last summer, what a mistake that was, I couldn't get to the things I wanted to move. Always had to get the tractor and pull it out. I sold it within a month of owning it.

If you get the fork lift off of cememt it sinks like a rock in the dirt and you are buried. It only has to sink a few inches.
