It has been quite dry since first cutting was done. Here is what I baled Sunday- 9 4x5 grass bales from 8 acres. It's more than I had.

Here in central NY the crops look really good - even the organic guys corn looks relatively good. We're low on moisture, but we seem to be getting rains just when they are needed

We have not had a lot of rain, but a couple of timely showers kept things from getting too dry. June was much drier than usual thats for sure. Getting a gentle rain today, continuation from overnight rain. Its the kind that soaks in, rather than the kind we often get this time of year, that flattens the grain.

We mowed a batch Sunday before lunch, some of it even baled Sunday night before 6 pm
Bailey is a Sr this fall, mowing on the 880 and 488 haybine in front of our house. I was on the 88 with the 479 haybine. Father in law has a 1755/2-85 hybrid mows with a 7230 discbine NH.

that umbrella makes a world of difference, doesn't it? I have one on the 826 hydro that I bale with. The rest of the haying tractors have cabs or ROPS with a roof.
