Spraying and Haying

Still waiting on the machine shop guy to make the new and improved shift rail pin for the 2090 Case but I kept busy enough. Sprayed chem fallow for a while til it
got too hot and windy about mid morning. The bison came over to the fence to watch me go by and I took this photo and some video. In the afternoon I decided to
try and rake and bale what little hay I had cut and use the small square baler. The JD 2140 would run the round baler but I'd have to change all the hydraulic
ends so figured for those few bales I'd just square bale. Got about 75 nice hay bales.. The old Massey Super 90 on the hay rake and 2140 on the baler. A bit of
video of them on my channel.

I dont know if there are many small square balers stuffed into the back of sheds around here, but I suspect most of them went off to the scrap yard over the past ten years. We had a MF dealership that sold a pile of MF balers each year through the 60s ,70s and into the 80s.. not too many making the small squares now

I don't want to handle a lot of small square bales anymore but I've done plenty in the past. This MF 120 was not one of the more common models. Saw more of the 124. Also a lot of New Holland. When I see the prices people are asking for bales I think it looks pretty good.
