Big enough to power the farm

You can read what you like into this picture. Our
electricity provider notified us that they were shutting
down the power at 9am till 1pm today. So I had to get
prepared.

I tapped the Case 930 to run the generator. So now
you see the clear picture of the power that drives the
farm.

I wish my power company would have let me know of an outage. Neighbor in installing pivot and yesterday REMC did the switch over on a new 3 phase line. Was supposed to take 2 hours but was 5. Was hot and humid but the beverages were cold.
I like your set up. Do you keep generator hooked to a tractor all the time? joe

Get ready for some more of that. High gas prices is only the beginning of the wrath thats beginning to take place. High electric bills, and lots of power outages is next.

The grid is NO WAY prepared for EVs and the extra power it'll take to charge them all, once they become the norm and mostly everyone is driving them.

Nobody seems to be talking about the downside of EV's. I guess we'll here more about THAT, when the big strain hits the electric industry. Right now, not enough people have EV's to create much of strain on the electric grid and power supply. But just watch what happens when they do and the big strain hits (everyone more less all EV's).

Anyone who thinks electricity is going to stay the same price, and the demand for it will stay the same, is ... well,,, you know.

We used our 730 for that, but it old smoke pretty good if you loaded it hard. And our unit wasn't enough to run everything, had to turn off part of the farm at all times.

At least they notified you ! Here in Columbus Ohio where my sister lives they did rolling blackouts and didn't tell anyone. So at 10PM she set out to go buy ice to keep things cool and the traffic lights were out. Some weird intersection someone T boned her sure looked like a hard hit so doubt they stopped first and totaled out her car. Hard to find replacements now too. New ones are on a waiting list and they are marking them up $ 3,000 over MSRP . She found a used one close to what she had.Cost her an extra $ 1,500 plus the sales tax on full price. She did spring for an extended warranty since you have no idea of what you are getting and it has more electronics than her older one. All in all the insurance didn't do too bad.

Red for life, do you get your news from CNN? to me it seems like the downside of EVs is all I see people talking about, LOL. It sounds like you must have a few of them on order the way you predict how the big strain will "HIT". Are you predicting that it will hitnext week??

red where in this post were evs mentioned? It was a planned outage most likely to replace equipment or to CUT over to a new line. Some things just cannot be done and maintain power.Kind of like changing a carb on a running tractor. joe

Won't most EVs be charging at night when the air conditioners are using less electricity?

Part of the propaganda they are using to sell the idea to you. Do you only fill up your car/truck at night, now? do you ever drive at night, maybe even after a full day of using the vehicle? Prepare to kiss long road trips goodbye.
