I hate birds again

Earlier this year, Small Offensive Birds (SOB's) had packed my radiator , pre-cleaner and air intake pipe full of nest building materials...last 2 pics

Cleaned everything out, started baling hay, figured we were done with the nest building thing for the year.

Tractor was sitting outside yesterday when I walked up to it...saw one of the SOB's fly out of the pre-cleaner. Got the ladder, they had already dropped a few sticks down the pipe and had a bunch in the pre-cleaner.

Had some 1/2 inch opening fence material...hope this works, it sure isn't pretty.

Put the piece around the pipe on the hood, 'cause that's how they were getting to the radiator.

I went with some folks last year to look at a swather they were thinking of purchacing. The thing had similar bird nests in it. One had babies. They were so concerned about saveing them... I wanted to just
step on em(the babys).

Barn sparrows are a pain with nests everywhere. I don't get to concerned with saving the hatchlings nor the adults if I get them.

I had a problem with birds roosting on the structure above my truck.
Got one of the plastic hawk decoys. Don't get the owl.
Now he sits on the bed of my truck. No more poop on the truck.
You may want to put one in a visible place near your tractor shed.

My dad had a pidgon roosting in the rafters above his pickup. Everymorning there would be a deposit in the center of the drivers side windshield. After several mornings he had had enough... He pulled the 30-30 from behind the seat . And BOOM! End of pidgon but now a big hole in the shed roof.
