Happy Fourth WYJ! Come see me sometime. From a previous post, I think our parents had the same party line phone number. Our was 23F4. Maybe the F meant farm, but I dunno. Anyway ours was four shorts - which meant a half-crank, pause, repeat three more times. I also recall that after each thunderstorm the neighbor who was secretary/treasurer of that neighborhood owned phone company always came over to scrape the carbons. kelly

My folks was 14F04. With it it being 4 shorts. Longs would have been 14F40.
Party line with so many on listening your call you had to ask them to hang so you could hear.
