Power steering fluid coming out breather on ford 3000

Could be air in the system, especially if it comes out when you idle down or
shut off.

It will eventually work out, usually settles out when parked overnight. Be
sure to check the level before starting so not to whip in more air.

Which breather are you referring to?
There is an air vent on the cap on the
power steering reservoir and one on the
lower part of the steering column.

If you have PS fluid pushing out of that
vent in the lower column it means the lower
seal #14 in the diagram below is leaking
and needs to be replaced. You will also
want to replace the upper seal #35 while
you have it apart. To get at it you need to
pull the steering wheel and the fuel tank
cowel
There is a bit to it all but if you would
like some help email me your phone # and a
good time to call. I could talk you through
it.

I was under the impression it was leaking out the pump reservoir vent, that s why I recommended changing the filter
He said he replaced the sector so I m now wondering if it was a used unit or rebuilt
If rebuilt he needs to contact the place he got it from

Thank you it is a rebuilt my brother in law put in . I will email my number for sure. Makes sense it would be coming out there if that seal is bad.thank you guys for your help!!
