Hi All,
I've got a White 2-105 and the PTO shift rail seems stuck.
I went from 540 to 1000, no problem. Used implement, came back a few months later, went from 1000 to 540 and thought I had the rail in 540. Hooked up bailer..and it seemed like maybe it was going a bit fast.
Monkeyed around with it and I cannot get the rail to move in any direction (in or out) with the 1K shaft in. Book says all shifting to be done with 1K shaft in.. Well.. thinking really hard, I can't swear that when I initially went back to 540 that I remembered that, but I do remember thinking I had it shifted, but maybe I missed the groove with the lock bolt and it moved around in the bore.
I also can't remember; in 540 how much of the collar sticks out of the housing? I found a Losey video with a 1755 and the housing is different but in 540 there is 1/2 inch of the shift rail that seems to be out of the housing; is it rougly the same for the 105?
I've read you can't have 1kRPM engaged with the 540 shaft; but it spins the implement awful fast for me not to believe that it isn't running fast...and it appears the rail is in not out.
Ideas?
Joe
