New Holland 1411 discbine slip clutch

I have a New Holland 1411 discbine I purchased this spring I cut about 80 acres with it no problem. Today in light grass I will go about yards and the slip clutch will engage. I had no problems up to this point. Slip clutch is hot to the touch. Is my slip clutch out of adjustmet?

Sounds to me like it was stuck for the first 80 acres, but once it broke loose now it slips, so you need to tighten it. the instructions with mine say to loosen it at the beginning of the season and slip it a little, and then tighten it to the recommended amount, they give a spring length when tight. I mark mine with a felt pen so I can tell when it slips, it should just a little when starting a Bush Hog. Does it look like this?

If you have not done so, I would look at your knives and check to see if you a bearing or like causing excess drag. Little short story.
I bought a used 730 JD MOCO from a JD dealer and they put all new knives on it. 1st 15 acres I cut with it was second cut alfalfa, and it seemed to work good. 2nd field was pretty thick , 1st cut grass and it pulled hard and gear boxes were running hot. All the knives were installed backwards and upside down.
