AC combine shield

Anybody still running equipment that uses one of these types of pto shields. This one is on my AC 66 combine hooked to my Farmall M. I've got a couple of acres of wheat to cut in a couple of weeks. When I was a kid seems like all the machines with this type of shield either had them removed or never attached.

I got one off a IHC pull type swather, that i fit on the Farmhand loader,for the M,fits nice! It goes from the PTO shield, back to the pump!

My dad ran a AC roto baler on his 35 Cockshutt , and that was the type of pto shield the baler had. His AC pto rake also had the same pto shield. I have the baler stashed away in a shed.

My John Deere no. 5 sickle mower uses a shield like that. I also have a couple old New Idea corn pickers that take them.

Safety First
Yep I have the AC 72 that is hook up to the Farmall 560 . Has that identical shield , made a special effort to get it working correctly. My son uses it mostly now and he is not as experienced with equipment so I thought it was time well spent . Plus Im not very agile today. Need a firm step up on these Farmalls .
Also have the shields on the new idea 30 sickle bar mower .
Went great efforts to make them functional.

yep, probably have some of those out at the farm yet. Hanging in the shed or in the scrap pile.
