Vermeer 605C baler

My 605C baler won't start wrapping bales anymore. It just bunches up and distorts the belts and I have to clean it out. I've tried going slow and slowing the PTO down, but nothing works.
I've put rock guard on the rollers, but to no avail.
Do I need new belts?
I'm open to any suggestions to remedy the situation.

Does it pull the hay into the chamber or does it jam the pick up? Did it work ok before? You may already know this, its important to fill the entire width of the chamber with hay to help get it rolling a bale. I know a lot of people suggest lowering the PTO speed to start a bale, but I always had to increase it and jam the hay in fast to get one rolling. This was on a B, so not exactly the same.

Drive forward on the windrow with the baler not running until you are about to overrun the windrow, then engage the baler. But what really helped was the back floor roller being a rubber
one. Night and day difference.

Won't anymore suggests it was working before (last season maybe)

If nothing major has been changed or done to the baler I am going to guess that what has changed is the material you are trying to bale. Smaller windrow, drier material etc.

I ran a set of belts on a 605H until they were paper thin (white fibers showing) and while they were long overdue for replacement I was still able to make bales.
The belts were polished so smooth that first thing in the morning I would often have to spray them with a garden hose just to initially get them turning.

If you have a spot on the field where the material you are baling is heavier try starting a bale on the heavy stuff, once started you can go and pick up the lighter stuff.

If what you are baling is too dry sometimes an early start before the dew burns off helps as can baling at night.

Belts distorting on a Vermeer is typically caused by uneven feeding of material when starting a bale, keep your pto speed where it is supposed to be and weave, weave, weave, going too slow tends to make things worse.
Drive like a drunk going through an obstacle course if you have to to get that initial feed of material across the machine.

You can try driving down a swath with your tailgate part ways up, if the material is picking up and passing through the baler now it is a good indication the baler is functioning the way it is supposed to but changes to accommodate the condition of the material you are baling are required.
