Ford 8830 4x4

A Ford 8830 4x4 showed on my radar sitting outside and not ran in about 5 years??? Is it worth 4000 in the midwest tires and sheetmetal and cab are good..thanks

Friends had an 8630 mfwd with the powershift, was a good tractor for them.

Plowhand. Ask why not run in 5 years? If it would have been an easy fix why wasnt it. Just saying. Wingnut

Tires alone are worth that since you say they are in good condition. Unless the people overseeing that tractor are really not up to par somebody will hook up a battery and if the engine rolls over you can forget anything under 10,000 dollars. No shortage of people out there willing to pay top dollar for a tractor presently. Running and without obvious issues it should bring at least 15,000 dollars. Running and shined up perhaps 20,000 or more.

Around these parts not running could mean a stubborn contest between parties having a financial interest in that tractor. I know of a couple tractors hauled off for scrap (not parts) because family members were having a bitter dispute concerning assets.

It could have two of three with major problems. Engine transmission hydraulic pump.
