Mowing today was a real challenge for me. I had to go sideways; the ground was too loose to mow going up. I just started and I got a palm tree branch wound up in my mower drum, next to the bearing. I had to road it back home, my Dodge was still in the shop, and take one of the drum bearings off to clean out the mess. I get back to the field, and just about finish. I go down a hill I have gone down many times in the past, full of branches. I didn't see the electric pole guy wires (three of them together) My tractor just stopped. I knew it was there I just didn't see them. I got hung up one time with my rotary mower somewhere else, and had a heck of a time getting my mower unhooked. That thought went through my mind real quick. This time I was able to back off the wires very slow. Mowing tomorrow will be like a vacation with pay. Golf coarse flat field. no rocks, green weeds. One of my better jobs. I got my truck back from the shop with the new oxygen sensor today also. Now I need to put miles on it to reset the computer. Thas's my day. Stan

I've had days like that. Seams everything that can go wrong does. And then later in the day the same thing goes wrong again.

I know a guy that has upset his tractor twice, mowing his own pond dam. And he still tries to keep it mowed.
I think if it were me, I'd of come to the conclusion, that terrain like that doesn't warrant the importance of being mowed. Maybe just spray for weeds and trees with a little hand sprayer.
I don't know the details of your situation. Sounds like you have been hired to mow this problem area.

I have days like that. The first piece of equipment breaks, get the second piece and it gets stuck, see an obstruction and make a note to remember its location then hit it. Those are long days.
