Kubota L3010 wanders.

The steering on my Kubota L3010 seems loose. I can't mow in a straight
line, the field looks like I wasn't paying attention when I'm done. When
driving at more than a slow speed the front wheels slop left and right.
I don't know how this steering works and can't see anything when laying
under the front of the tractor. The tie rods and spindles are tight.
Sitting on the tractor with the engine not running I can slowly turn the
steering wheel all the way around without the front wheels moving. Also,
the steering wheel changes position when In use. That is, sometimes the
Kubota name on the steering wheel is horizontal like it should be but it
changes orientation during use. Please help me understand this setup. It
is an HST drive version.

David the steering on the L 3010 is two part. A controller like a round can under the dash with 5 lines and a steering cylinder up und the radiator. Two things either the steering cylinder is bypassing or the controller is failing./ The cheaper fix it repacking the steering cylinder so that is where you probably want to start. Not hard to drop it out from the front. If the controller is bad it is not something I suggest you try.

I have a little JD garden tractor with that same type steering. If you don't mow at wide open throttle, try doing that. The added hydraulic flow will help steady a worn controller or cylinder.

Dave here is a video that explains it. Just wanted you to understand above what jm posted that there is no mechanical linkage between the steering wheel and the front steering linkage such as the tie rods. They move solely by the flow directed by the valve on steering wheel end to the cylinder up front. This diagram shows 4 hoses but you probably have 5 as jm stated. There is a possibility that one line is a bleed off line.
