Fuel filter interchange Massey vs ford

Hey guys-I have a mid 60s Massey with a z134 continental and a marvel schebler carb. Its a couple hours away from home. I want to. Replace the inline filter that goes in the elbow from the fuel line to the carb. Called a parts place and he said it may take the same one the ford 8N does, which I can pick up tomorrow. Anyone know if these parts are interchangeable?

The steel inlet line connects to a brass elbow, and there's USUALLY a screen on the elbow inside the carb. No filter was used in production, but could have been
added later.

The Ford elbow also fits these MF models
Massey Ferguson TO20, TE30, TO30, TO35, 35, 50, 135, 150, 202, 204, F40

The Massey would have used a 5/16 flare fitting, I think the Ford did also.

But unless the screen is damaged or missing it can be cleaned and reused.

There was never an inline filter from the factory, only the screen in the elbow
and above the sediment bowl.

Thanks for all the responses fellas. Saved me some aggravation. I can get after it over the weekend
