Much depends on what type of soil you have and how
deep you intend to work the ground. On light soil no
problem with the disc.. As for the chisel, much
depends also on style and width of the tip on the
shank. Just a narrow pointed ripper should be fine,
and your tractor will tell you how deep you can go.
The wide twisted shanks take more power than your
tractor will have.at 62hp. For that kinda tillage 100hp
plus . Flat land or level also a factor.

More chisel than you can pull with a light tractor like that. And if sand the disk will need to be held up with the wheels or it will bury itself and you will not be able to pull it either. Your looking at more like 100HP to pull the chisel plow and the disk would like more like 70-80 for a minimum. Yes you can pull them around the yard for just moving them purposes. You can do anything you like with them just if you really want them to do the job you need more tractor. Good excuse to buy an 856 or so.

No. We pulled a 7 shank Blanton
chisel plow and 10.5 ft King trailer
type disk with ours. These were a
good match. Chisel plow normally ran
16 inches in gray clay.

i have a 584 and no it will not, you should figure 20 hp per shank. i have a 13 shank and pulling with 250 hp tractor.

Thanks, questions answered. Pulling chisel with JD 5510 MFWD. No sweat, so I'll stick.
684 is a sharp unit, but can see a bit undersized. Bought a IH 424 this spring and the hook was set. Never spent much time looking at IH but doing a lot of browsing these days.
Thanks again
