Mak'in feed (Caution, tractor content!)

Ah, at least yous had a blower to fill the sack,i got one where you have to shovel it in on top, and shovel it away on the bottom, so grinding feed was a dreaded chore i am sure the 30's!

I do not think we are off the rails that far yet, but sometimes you have to wonder. Anymore details about the picture, like family photo or just an interesting pic you found? Thanks for posting. Quite a contrast from a modern silage chopper cruising down the field taking out 12 rows of 10 plus foot tall corn.

Is he using a small bucket or dipper to pour grain into the mill? It looks like a second sack to the guy's left.

It looks like a grain scoop in his hand. If he is grinding feed for 1000 hogs, he should open up the throttle a bit. Bill

Looks like a nice little outfit for a couple of head of cattle or small group of chickens or hogs back in the day. I had one a little bigger that was converted to pto and mounted on a small frame with wheels that worked pretty good. Although I liked the JD 400 grinder mixer I moved up to at the time allot better.
