Hi,
I have a new holland L455 with the Kabota D1402 3 cyl Diesel.
I can't figure out how to remove the fuel filter. i've try turning it but I'm afraid of breaking it if i force it, am i missing something or is there some other way it comes out?

If it's like mine it's assembled like a sandwich. You got the housing at the top, then the filter, and a bowl on the bottom. There's a hex head bolt on top, 7/16th wrench I think, that goes from the top to the bottom to hold it all together. See the picture taken from Messicks.

That is what I was asking him but so far no reply that is the CAV type do not think he has that but no way of knowing until he replies.

the bolt on the top of the filter assembly will let you take off the filter and bottom pieces. I have 2
L455s. I have found that given the space/working limitations by the filter, it is easier to take the
whole filter base assy off the engine and change the filter on the workbench, the put assy back on engine.
Some of the Orings and gaskets can be tempermental to get lined up right.
