1968 FORD 2000 serial# is in no-one's database.

I have serial#, C203967. Production code, 8E20B. Model code, 21123C. Found these ID's on right side on flat spot behind starter and on aluminum plate under hood. Sticker on hood says FORD 3000. Apparently it is a 2000. Question is, what numbers to use to get complete, correct wiring harness item# for front and rear. No-one has my Serial, Production or Model numbers in their database.

A sticker on the hood means nothing after 54 years.

My book shows that as a
2000
LCG
Gas
Live 540 PTO
8 speed
Built on May 20 1968 by the day shift
In the USA
with a serial number of 203967

If that is proven wrong the tractor has had a transmission swap in its life time.
Not unheard of.

All of those numbers check out as a 1968
Ford 2000: 21123C, 2 is 2000, 11 is LCG
(Low Center of Gravity) 2 is gas engine, 3
is Live PTO 540, C is 8 speed
transmission. C203967 is a 1968 serial
number, C means manufactured in the US.
8E20B is a production date of May 20 1968
day shift. For parts reference try

They sell the wiring harness at this site.
However, it will say it is for a diesel.
The Only difference between a gas and
diesel harness is the diesel uses a big 10
ga wire for the Thermostart (cold starting
aid). Gasser uses a small 14 ga wire that
goes to the coil. So just use the big wire
for the coil.
The rest of the harness is idential. I
don't know where you can buy a harness
specifically for a gasser unless it is from
New Holland for about $500.
