140 Hi-crop

Got a couple pictures yesterday, tractor is finally home from south Alabama and on a trailer at sellers house. I'm thinking it ain't a hi crop.... . What say you?

Not a hi-crop.

A hi-crop's rear tires are on 36" rims. Those are standard 24" rims.

Some people call a "row crop" tractor a "hi-crop" or at least that is their lame excuse when called on their false advertising.

Lots of tobacco farmers used those 140's in NC and SC.
Still a great gardening tractor.

This is a hi-crop. Notice the much larger rear wheels and tires, as well as the taller knuckles on the front end.

Truck farmers used those in my area and they were....still are, great little tractors.

It's not a high crop. A high crop has larger than 24 inch rear tires and has a brace on the front axle that runs back to attach to the engine block around the oil filter area. Looks to be an early 60's model 140 you have based off of the horizontal grille.
