I will try this one more time and see how it goes....Several weeks ago I made the mistake of calling B Farmalls Cub Farmalls...Three people were nice about it and one
person wasnt so nice about it....I had already explained that on some weeks I run on very little sleep so at times mistakes do get made..Some things were said and a
few posts got deleted...Thats water under the bridge.

On Friday I attended the Johnson consignment sale held just east of Ft Scott,KS..It was about 40 degrees with heavy clouds and a strong north wind...No matter how
you were dressed the cold went right thru you...It even sleeted some ...I've been to sales where it was 10 above with sun and no wind that felt much warmer than this
one..The consignment lot was full and there was a decent crowd...The reason there was so many IH tractors there is that from the 1950's-1980's IH outsold John Deere
3 to 1 in Bourbon County Kansas...It was so cold that I didnt write down very many prices

The second sale was the Brannan estate sale that was held on Saturday just east of Garland,KS...It was a totally different day..At 9 AM I started out with a heavy coat
on and by noon we were all in short sleeves as it was sunny, no wind, and was 65-70 degrees...It was a beautiful day and lots of corn was going in the ground in the
county just to the south of the sale...

Interesting what iron is doing from one part of the country to another. For all the talk of high prices some things really have not seen much of a change in the last few years. Example being an average condition IH 800 planter Cyclo. I've seen three sell in the last 3 years and they all have been around 1,500-1,600 dollars. I saw a 6620 Titan II at auction this past Friday and it fit the description that it was in the field last fall. Not sharp in appearance but everything worked and had no strange noises or any leaks. 5,250 in an area that still has many small farms. Don't know if it actually sold or if it was bid back. So extremely high current selling price does not fit the description of every piece of farm equipment.

Thanks for posting both the sale items and the countryside pics. Please don't stop because a few people have something bad to say. I would have been all over that D15 as I have one that is not as nice that I paid more for. Tom

Appreciate you're efforts every time.I'm sure more people enjoy that do not comment .I look forward to them.Do not understand the few people who are negative.Must have nothing better to do.Thanks again for you're time and effort.

Where do you find those school houses? I'm from that area so I'm familiar with a couple of them but a few are new to me. There's at least 5 more around the Overbook area that I can think of.

I guess I did go to an auction this Saturday but don't have much of a report. Everything sold to high for my checkbook. The only one I remember is this really nice 34 foot Wilson stock trailer selling for $49,500. Am I just that far out of the loop and that's what they're selling for?
cvphoto122776.jpg

I was up there last week of March and first week of April. Wasnt any good sales in St Claire Co area. Yes, it was kinda nasty with snow on 31st and some rain.

It's beyond me why anyone would complain or have a bad comment about your post, I enjoy looking at all you do and post. It's greatly appreciated. Thank you for doing this. You're a good fella.

because some people have a very sorry life and the only enjoyment they have is complaining try working with the general public once and you will see what i mean .1206 keep posting

I appreciate you going through the trouble and taking the time it takes to do what you do and I'm sure many others do to. I remember your little mistake and didn't even think much of it and can't believe someone would make a big deal of it.

Thank you for your auction reports with pictures 1206!!
Look forward to your posts.
The time you spend in putting these reports together is very much appreciated.
Always interesting to see what equipment brings in your neck of the woods.
Thank You!

1206-You get all the good sales in your part of the country--Thanks for the posts. Shouldn't you be home working on that red puller so that young girl driving that GREEN tractor doesn't drive thru you tracks??? Son's changing his Limited pro stock back to Super Farm and him and his buddy are each building a light limited super stock for next year-I think that is what you call them. $$$$$--O well. Take care--keep them posts coming!!!---Tee

I always enjoy your auction reports, and school house pictures. I started school in a one room school in 1965.
What I can never adjust my mind to is how much less the prices are on equipment. I understand that there arent as many small operations in your area as in the north east, but I would have loved that combine for that money.

I always enjoy your posts. It takes time and effort and is greatly appreciated. Remember the stagecoach doesn't stop just because a few dogs bark at the wheels.

Keep on keeping on....great auctions report and the the countryside photos are beautiful. Thanks for taking the time to post!

You thought the AC was the buy of the day, I thought to myself the 560 Farmall gas that ran with loader-----$1,300 was a steal! Prices sure aren't like that here in NW Indiana! Triple that at minimum.

I am one of the guilty ones that read and don't reply. I greatly appreciate the time you take to do this. Thank you.

Everything went cheap compared to my area in NE Kansas - I thought about going to the one in Fort Scott. A couple weeks ago at a local auction a similar 1086 with a good loader went for $16,000, a 1066 with TA delete went for $8500 - no loader. I just bought a Massey 1130 with a welded up Koyker loader on it for $4000 and thought I got the steal of the year. Even the gas 560 was super cheap - if you needed something to unload bales.

Thanks for all the great auction results from your part to the country. Before my wife's health took a downturn, we enjoyed making the trip from Wisconsin/Iowa to some Kansas and Missouri sales. We were always on he lookout for some old trucks, cars and motorcycles. Don't have a truck or trailer to bring any of those big tractors home.......nor do I have any use for one !

Also really love all of the old buildings. Have fun and thanks again
