What will you use the crop for? Hoping of course that it rains. Have you planted this combination before?

IF you tried that here you would walk back to the house. To wet to even be able to get to the woods to cut wood. Water standing everywhere.

Why peas and oats? Cattle feed?
Never heard of planting peas and oats.
I have heard of peas and carrots.lol

Are the peas to add a little nitrogen to the soil? Sounds like it is for hay or grazing rather than for a crop to be combined.

A few around here plant peas and barley for forage. Makes great silage. Don't know of any that combine it, don't know if it matures at the same time.

I dont think you could combine it you would either shatter the peas or set it so the peas didnt shatter youd leave half the oats not threshed

First year I custom organic farmed for neighbor he had me plant pea barley mix. We left it mature and harvested it for grain. You swath it and leave it dry in windrow for 20 days. Everything is so dry by then that it threshes out easy. Grain sample was real clean in tank. Hauled it to Mn. buckwheat association elevator in Wadena. They were going to screen the barley out of the pea's as the pea's are what they really wanted. Protein source for organic chicken feed. The barley part was going someplace else. Interesting crop.

Yes Sam I have planted it before in august one year under a pivot made a good crop was hard to get baled that late though
