I think the trailer you are talking about is what we call a Donahue, you slide the wheels back, put your drill on crossways unhook from the drills, slide the bed and trailer on top of the wheels, chain the wheels to the chassis, and go down the road,to the next field! right?

The only way I've got a video to work is to load it to youtube and then link it on here. Video files get too big for this site pretty quickly.

we had a rinky dink company here tried to make em too, A, Lorak, same concept, but they used square or rectangle main beams instead of round, it was to late in the game, didn't sell to many!

Here is a book for one.

They were junk. Poor excuse of a trailer, tires would slide instead of moving on the trailer to get them back under it, frame was to flimsy spung like a spring when in transit. Worked for a guy had one. He didn't have it to long.

Conversely, I used one for many years to haul 28' of DEERE disc drills and was darned glad to have it.

While it wasn't PERFECT it sure beat the alternative.

Oiling the angle iron "ramps" and the rollers that slide the wheels back under the trailer helps make the process go better.

I still have it, but not the drills, the some of the planks are in bad condition, though, from being in the weather.

They work--Had a green 30 footer with square tubes we hauled our 12 row 30in. planter on and a red 20 footer we hauled a 8 row 30 in. on. The only time we had trouble backing it back up on the wheels was when we misjudged how much was in the field and had to much fert. left in the boxes-too heavy and the wheels would slide--Carry 4 bricks with you for behind the wheels-it works.--Good Luck SV---Tee
