Grain drill settings?

I have an Oliver 64 drill. Need to plant 40 lbs per acre of a three way forage mix for hay. More info in my post on Oliver board. Thanks!

There is a formula but you will need small scales and a measuring wheel. Remove several drop tubes and fasten a small plastic bag under them with a rubber band. The more tubes the more accurate. Take 435.6 divided by (number of tubes x row spacing in inches divided by 12)= length to drive in feet. After driving the distance in feet collect the seed and weigh in pounds x 100 to get rate per acre. Tom

Thanks Tom! I think I might try that. But now I wish I had paid more attention in math class. I can walk over to the post office to get the weight on their scale.

I have a scale you collect the seed from one flute drive the distance on the chart and weigh the seed whole thing takes 5 minutes
