I'm sure it ran when parked.

Might need a battery and air in tires.
I drive past this place often. Thought I would share yard ornament in my hood.

My plan is to have this little puppy at the entrance to our property someday. That is to say standing vertical and not on the ground.

Bob..

My brother recently bought a trailer from his neighbor that had been 'abandoned ' on their property. $1200 for a 03 trailer rated for 14K. They think the original owner had been sent to jail and then never came back for it.

My favourite yard ornament is the 15 30 McCormick Deering. I have parked it in various locations in the yard for the nearly fifty years it has been here. I don't think it was ever running when I parked it. I keep moving it so it does not settle too far into the ground. Engine hopelessly seized since the 1970s.

The only thing that looked better on my WD was the gas cap. I sold it for $800 about 14 years ago. Just didn't need it anymore and a friend wanted it. He still uses it.Almost indestructable.

I don't know if this is true for every one but a shop that works on something has the right to take ownership and then sell things if left for over 90 days. I.E. say you have a car worked on and you don't come get in and pay for it within 90 days the shop has the right to sell it

Mechanic lean is what you are talking about.
If a towing company has your car for a given time, they too can become the owner of your vehicle.
There is a legal process that has to be followed. You are not automatically the owner...

I know about the legal stuff but again say someone leaves a tractor on my place and has not been back since say 2015 I figure it is mine either way

I was told that a Mechanics Lean is not what people think. Does not coincide with mechanical work done. This was My findings from Small Claims.

Mechanic's Lien
A mechanic's lien is a security interest in the title to property for the benefit of those who have supplied labor or materials that improve the property. The lien exists for both real property and personal property. In the realm of real property, it is called by various names, including, generically, construction lien. The term lien comes from a French root, with a meaning similar to link; it is related to liaison. Mechanic's liens on property in the United States date from the 18th century.

A towing company can charge you for storage. After a certain time they can file a mechanic's lean, jump through the legal hoops, notify the owner by registered letter, be awarded a new title...
Talk to a lawyer for advice.
In your case, if the owner comes back, charge him by the day for storage before he gets tractor back..
