Went and picked this up today. Motor appears stuck. Look like it's fairly complete. Wife says it will look great in our flower bed! Any idea why the front axle is longer on one side? Any idea on year? I'm guessing it's an F ?

Sure was easier to load than unload!

Most offset tractors like that I have seen could mount a disk plow behind the offset axle. Then the front wheel followed the open furrow from the previous pass and the rear wheel ran in the furrow the plow just opened.

I don't seen where the extension bolts to the axle on yours, though.

I have seen two Fordsons in Australia with wide right front axle, One had single furrow disk plough on right hand side alongside engine. Was told used for creating furrow to put in wire for rabbit-proof fences. Told the other used to have similar plough.

Nice tractor ,I dont think its F , N more likely. Bosch magneto run off cam gear .
The serial is upper right on block ,intake side ,photo does reveal .
Keep in mind these tractors were run into the ground during depression . Could have n motor on the f cant see the mag in the flywheel. Rivets on front wheels tell the story many many hours of use.
Anything is possible to make it run . Really L
Your in for a challenge .

I have also seen those axles and side mounted ploughs in the Australian vineyards for hilling up the vines. Some were on modern tractors although the one in the picture has a plough offset so that it clears the standard axle.

Overall it looks like a model F. I can't see the air washer well enough to tell for sure. Some were retrofitted with a high tension mag.

This is what I have found her in the states, just a disk plow to use in soil where a moldboard doesn't want to work, But I have never looked close enough to see if standard axle with extension or a long axle.

I learned something new with that extended axle. Didn't know such a setup existed till now. It's interesting how different parts of the country with different crops require different types of machinery.

I laughed so hard at hobos comment that I almost took one myself. Can't stop laughing shouldn't have looked at the picture. Have to go check my
shorts now!
