Backhoe on Case SC?

I have a Davis backhoe which I plan to install on my Case SC. I know loaders have been known to break tractors in the middle. The Case SC appears to be pretty stout. Can I mount the backhoe with mounts on only the rear axle and the bolts on the belly for the front of the drawbar without risking the death of the tractor by breaking in the middle? I could run mounts all the way to the front but that adds difficulty, money, time, thought (which is hard to come by) and so on. All of that is worth doing if it prevents disaster. Opinions are appreciated. Paul

I'd find a newer tractor with better hydraulic with the more modern pressures for a backhoe. You will be wanting north of around 20GPM with at least in the 2500PSI range for efficient use of the hoe.

They are both trying to be nice I am just telling it like it is , forget it you will not have anything when you get done.

Maybe I should have said more. The tractor has live hydraulics which can nearly kill the engine. It and the backhoe are both paid for.

If it has a front end loader it can work but it will be slow. I have an 8N Ford with a backhoe. It works but it is slow and I cannot use 4th gear because if you do the front wheels are off the ground more then on

Thanks for the responses. Even if it is slow I am sure it will be faster than a shovel. It may turn out that I will need to add some weight to the front.

I forgot to say not only does my 8N have a loader it also has a 500lbs piece of concrete that sit in a rack made for it in front of the radiator and even with that I still cannot use 4th

The hydraulic reservoir on the SC is only a gallon or 2. Your hydraulic oil will get very hot, very quickly and then your seals will start leaking. The pump capacity is way too slow to operate a backhoe. IMHO you are wasting your time!

Dad had an old Shawnee hoe that we used a lot for several years. Would only dig about 4 feet and a shovel was faster than it was when I was in my 20'sand 30's. Like I said forget it and get a real hoe or use a newer tractor for this just spinning your wheels. We ran that hoe on an 830 case off the Couplers in the back. It has more hydraulic than an SC case would. More oil capacity and more pump.
