Our school had a C with the long axles. It had an undersung Continental belly mower mounted on it and was used to mow the school grounds. One day while I was in class in sixth grade The custodian was mowing with this C outside our classroom. I heard a racket and when I looked out at the window the flag pole was swinging. I wasnt allowed to stand up to look out the window but We all knew one of those long axles was the culprit. Later they cut the axles short.

My cousin Rich had a narrow front C with those long axles. Didn't take long for him to buy a bunch of hacksaw blades and wait for a rainy
day.
