Fiat built long 445 tractor 3 cylinder diesel.this tractor as far as I can tell has no oil cooler at least not a visible one.it has what looks like fresh motor oil in the radiator (not blackish or thin like on the dipstick).my son used it lately and added oil to he says in the valve cover cap/fill .I have no reason to believe he made a mistake and he is brutally honest about such things.so is it possible itis not vandalism? The Motor has unknown thousands of hours as the tach never worked since I bought it very used 25 years ago and I put a couple thousand hours on it myself

The 2 most common ways oil gets in the coolant, an internally leaking oil cooler (if equipped).

Or a pressurized oil galley passing through the head gasket feeding the rockers.

My guess is that it needs a head gasket. I had to change one once a 360 Long. I had no coolant in the oil. It has been here since new, a 1978 model.
