Shop time of mine

Didn't want to highjack Hobos thread which is good:). Here is a photo of mine done out of necessity. I sure wouldn't want to do this a lot. Needs a transmission that will move!!!

2006 Saturn Vue with a 3.5 Honda and a MDRA Honda transmission.200,000 miles just got the fluid changed once before it stopped altogether.

Ahh i got 326,000 on my oldsmobile, other than water pumps and radiators, never had much trouble, but i have changes the trans fluid i think 11 times, and it run better everyday!

That's the same engine I adjusted the valves on last week I would perform that operation. If the cam belt has not been changed I would go get it. If you removed the main drive belt and removed the belt tensioner replace the bolt that holds the tensioner to the engine and torque it to spec. That bolt is know to break its not available from honda I keep one in stock.

Belt and water pump done about 3000 miles ago but did not get to the valve adjustments. Will do that now that the motor is easier to work on. Unless I decide to part it out, which is still in the back of my
mind.

The trans has kilt a many Saturn. Actually less than a trans its a shame they were good cars.

Valve adjustment

I bent a few feeler gauges the first one I cold bent it broke I then heated them for a nice bend.

We have the 2008 Saturn Vue, with the 3.6 engine. Transmission guy said that it has a bad transmission ( transmission blows up and destroys itself). Unless it has been dealer updated, this has not been. So with 160,000 miles I am just waiting.
