Bought a set of rear tires for the purple B...... $345 for the set. Got the old ones off and rims wire wheeled. 2 coats of primer and one of rust oleum 'aluminum'. Another coat today and tire mounting on Thursday. Rims were in surprisingly great shape!

My tractor tire store recommended I use rust converter on some very bad rims, then coat with Flex seal.

It has worked or about 5 years now..

I coated lawn mower rim flex steal that was rusted around valve stem. The rust caused the tube to leak..

I'm a fan of flex seal.

Put two new front tires on my Jubilee yesterday. My homemade bead breaker would not bust the old ones loose. I finally took them to the tire store. I think the old ones may have been on the tractor since '53. haha

Do yourself a favor and hold off mounting the tires as long as possible so the paint has a chance to cure and harden. You will break your arm patting yourself on the back in the future for waiting.

Ive never waited any longer then it takes for the paint to be dry to the touch and never had a problem with it

Lots of baby powder in the tire before the tube will help with wrinkles and also help with sticking to rim . Just how I do it thought I would throw it out there. fred

FYI. If I still owned my tire shop irrigation tires would cost you $380.00 for the pair, carried out the door. You would defiantly want to put new tubes in them. They work great for the little tractors.
