Did IH ever build a better tractor? I remember when one of our neighbors bought one. They had a forty across the road from where we lived. It pulled a lot of bottoms.

A friend of mine has his Dad's 806. I rebuilt the pto for him two years ago, replaced the alternator, and starter, and put a new clutch in
it last spring. Other than that, it's all original. Water jacket has a crack, but Stop Leak keeps it under control. He uses it to run his
JD 1320 MoCo. Tough old tractor.

yup the 56 series was better because of the shifting linkage. We have all three series 06,56,66. The 56 was the best to me less junk to get to things and just as good of a tractor.
