Looking for a family tractor; John Deere GM. The tractor was sold from a farm near Fair Grove Mo. in the 1960's to a gentleman in Brighton MO. I believe the purchaser's name was Roland Dickerson; Possibly the owner of Circle R Ranch in Brighton MO. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

What about a dealership near tractor where parts may have been purchased from
They may have a lead.
Good luck!

In 2000 I bought a 47 GM from a guy in northern Minnesota . He said it came from Missouri . Ser#19548 if I remember right . I sold it to a guy in Western Iowa . There's a Facebook John Deere G page and a guy has a serial number register . I think that tractor might be in North Dakota now .

The dealership in Springfiled, MO has been closed for many years. I check with a few locals last month with no luck on who owned the dealership.

Thanks for the help

I do not have the serial number. However, the serial number would be in the range you mention. Did the tractor have an after market water pump mounted to the fan shaft support?

Thanks,
Bruce DeHaven

It had a factory lower tank and water pump . One radiator beside panel was for a unstyled g , no place to mount the grill . A early GM alternator with external voltage regulator . It had Charlynn power steering . Widened rear rims .
