Rusty Ohio truck. How to access two bottom nuts
on drivers side behind PS pump. Anti lock module
in the way in the front , strut mount covering the
side, motor mount blocking access from the rear.
Have to tilt the motor or something? Doesnt seem
to be much room between the cowl and the plenum
to do that. Thanks. Fritz

Extensions, swivels, and lots of patience. Lifting the engine helps, but it can be done without, depending on the tool selection and condition of the nuts.

When the dealer did my out of warranty 3 1/2 year old 98 4.6 w/32,000 miles on it, they pulled the engine. They accused me of doing something to cause it to rust out but magnanimously split the $2,500 bill with me. I appealed to Ford to no avail so my next 2 trucks have been an 08 and an 18 Silverado.

I take the inner fender well out ,front wheel off, go into it from that direction . I had 98 ,4.6 Though .
Rear studs broke on manifold ,that job I had to pull the motor. Need to use nachi spindle drill to drill thru stainless ,and easy out stud. You probably wont need to do that ,but it does happen in NEO.
Change exhaust manifolds while you got them off, they fail

Yes, found a lot of times it would have taken less time to remove stuff that was in the way than to fight tight spaces.

99 Cougar, V6 auto, needed an alternator....the book said to (basically) remove the right front suspension. I wasted a couple hours trying to prove them wrong before I removed the suspension parts and swapped the alternator.
