I have the same type feeder on my backyard tree. Squirrels and chipmunks have eaten thru the top plastic cover and local bear has ripped it loose a couple of times

We saw one up close Friday evening. Just before I hit her with the car. Almost missed her but hit her back leg just below my right headlight, cracked the plastic on the bumper and the plastic just above it. I guess that's why we pay insurance. Nobody hurt and the deer ran away so all is well.
