Gehl 100 Feed Mill

Was trying out a gehl 100 feed mill that has hydraulic drive on all augers. Noticed the unloaded auger valve is leaking fluid and it looks like transmission fluid. Was wondering if anyone had any insight. Could I use hydraulic oil to get me through a tight spo

Spot it what I was trying to write before I hit send accidentally. Probably cant get parts and thinking of possibly putting a cutoff valve in line with the circuit. TIA!

YES...HYD FL IS SAME, 10 WT, AS ATF...BE BLESSED, GRATEFUL, PREPARED...

Might look inside the control valve, could be a standard oring seal. Easy cheap
fix.

A cutoff valve might not work if that is an open center valve. It will dead
head load the pump!

I think you can, but winter as we are having here with many dips below 0 temps could be interesting, cold oils dont all flow the same. My uncle got a hyd drive grinder
and said he had to run it empty in winter, go make and have a cup of coffee then come back and it would b loose enough to work.
