Looked at this JD 520 this afternoon, does not run, dont know when it ran last. Good rear tires. Seller bought it years ago and never did anything with it, when he bought it as a non-runner they lifted tractor up on his trailer to load it it and damaged the battery box under the seat , also broke the steering wheel and bent the steering shaft between the steering wheel and the shaft support, I mean they bent it bad. Might could heat the shaft and straighten it, priced at $800.

if Hes asking 800 dollars$ that would be a good buy,
tires and other parts look good,

let us know if you buy it!

$800is probably a fair price if you need a parts tractor. If you want to fix it up, plan to add another $5,000 or more and several hundred hours of labor to your cost.

Location is everything for sales prices, though $400 would be closer to the real value to me. Lots of parts and lots of work if you want it to run. Sounds like it has not run in decades, not years.

around here it is worth $600 in scrap. If the engine is free My guess would be $800 might be ok. Those rear tires look good but pictures don't tell the truth always.

I passed on a 50 carcass, for $800 that had the power steering I needed for my 50, could kick myself everyday about that one. And it only had the steering and trans left other than the frame.

Around here even with all the negatives (that are known) I don't know that 1,500 dollars would buy it.
