Grease zerks, Ford wheels

Wondering of anyone ever added grease zerks to a Hundred series Ford front wheels? My MF65 has a zerk in the bearing cap, real handy. I don't know if Ford ever did this with later models or if just adding one would work out okay. I've got other equipment that has them too.

My 4610 has them, right in the square casting on the hub,

Not a hundred series but I added them to the caps on my 8N. And they work fine, I did knock one off somehow when out in the timber, so they are vulnerable to damage. Just screwed in a new one, easy fix. Next time I drilled and tapped the body of the hubs on my International, which makes them harder to reach but also more protected. Give them a pump or two once in a while and works good.

I just drill the casting between the bearings when I have them off for replacement and don't have trouble with wheel bearings after that much. Easier to grease than do wheel bearing work.

Thanks guys! I think I'll add some zerks. Most of my other tractors have them, just didn't know if there was a reason NOT to add them. :D
