Got some time this morning so how about some tillage pics. Start with my 1030 pulling my 6-16 plow, then chisel plow and finally the16' heavy disc. All those really giveit a hard time in my ground.

Some of my 830, first on the 14' light disc. The motor on this tractor went bad and I'm hoping to get it going this winter.

I ran a 2470 Case for a couple days chisel plowing for the BTO I worked for from 1968 till about 1976. Pulled the same chisel plow that almost stopped his 4320 dead in it's tracks the year before, the 2470 pulled it about 6 mph. Case had 28Lx26 tires all around, rode like a Cadillac! I'd play with the steering going across half mile long 80 acre fields.
I'd run a 4-150 White for a week years before, pulling a 14 ft disk, was disking up flooded out low spots in corn fields for my buddy to replant soybeans. Lots of turns, quick turns, with an articulated tractor, the sides of the seat beat my midsection every turn all day. The 3208 CAT did pull pretty well. The last day I worked for him we hooked the WHITE 7-14 semi-mounted plow to it and plowed some peat ground that was so wet the plow furrow filled with water between rounds.
Last 4wd I drove was an 8440, supposedly turned up to 200-220 hp, dualed 23.1x30 tires, lots of slippage, but the Glenco Soil-Saver I was pulling was at least 2 shanks too big, was down in A-range 2nd & 3rd gear. And if the engine wasn't running at least 1500 rpm AND accelerating when I dropped the Soil-Saver in the ground it would lug down and stall. Really gutless beast.
